  1. A joint workshop between Africa CDC and UKHSA on establishing Regional Knowledge Hubs was conducted in Ethiopia on the 26th and 27th of November 2022. Dr. Justin Maeda is the lead of the project in Africa CDC.

  1. Eighty experts from 18 African countries received enhanced surveillance training to prepare them for the importation and cross-border surveillance of COVID-19 cases. The training was conducted on 17 February 2020, just before most African countries reported COVID-19 cases. The training was organised by Africa CDC in collaboration with ICAO.
